Appearance on YTN Radio 'Shinyul's News Face-off'
Na Kyung-won, a member of the People Power Party, said, "This is the first time I've seen an article about whether the president meets privately with the ruling party leadership or not," pointing out that figures within the ruling party are unnecessarily highlighting conflicts between the party and the government.
On the 27th, Na appeared on YTN Radio's 'Shin Yul's News Frontline' and analyzed, "Recent various opinion polls show that the president's approval rating among conservatives is low, and the People Power Party's support is also low," citing "a lack of sufficient mention of what the party should be doing" as a reason. She questioned, "Are they just sitting around talking about private meetings all the time? Is this a North-South summit?" and criticized, "The relationship between the party and the presidential office is reduced to whether or not to request a private meeting, which is childish."
She also mentioned that while ruling party figures are preoccupied with internal conflicts, they fail to show fighting power against the major opposition on important issues. She pointed out, "There is insufficient mention from the party regarding the West Sea government official murder case, the construction of the Rhee Syngman Memorial Hall, the Democratic Party's shielding of Lee Jae-myung, and interference in the Ulsan mayoral election," asking, "Why doesn't our party talk about these things?" Regarding fundraising for the Rhee Syngman Memorial Hall construction, she said, "When I suggested to a senior party leader to inform party members, they said 'it won't help with votes,'" adding, "I was shocked to hear that."
Regarding observations that the presidential office and ruling party hold the view that the series of issues, including allegations of Kim Geon-hee's interference in candidate selection, are 'political operations,' she said, "There are things that have caused discomfort to the public and things we regret, but some parts seem excessive," adding, "There are parts that need to be coordinated internally and parts that need to be waited on, but they keep going outside and only talk about that issue, making it the only topic. Everyone goes out saying, 'Kim Geon-hee should apologize,' and that's all they talk about," criticizing the situation.
