"This Is Not Fan Service"... CNBLUE's Jung Yonghwa Suddenly Stops Performance

Performance Halted After Patient Emerges in Audience Seat
Netizens Praise "14-Year Veteran's Professional Response"

Jung Yong-hwa, a member of the three-member band CNBLUE, became a hot topic after it was revealed that he quickly responded when an emergency occurred during a university festival performance.

On the afternoon of the 26th, Jung Yong-hwa took the stage at Kyung Hee University’s festival in Seoul and was singing when he suddenly stopped the performance. This was because he witnessed a spectator collapse in the audience.

He asked the audience member, "Are you okay?" and then requested understanding from the surrounding spectators by saying, "Please make some space to help." With the cooperation of the standing audience, the emergency patient was safely taken outside.

Even after the situation was resolved, Jung Yong-hwa carefully checked on the audience, asking, "Is there anyone else not feeling well?" He emphasized, "This is not fan service. If anyone wants to go outside, please let me know." Then he said, "I will check the situation. Please keep order so no one gets hurt," and left the stage. After checking on the patient and returning, he said again, "No one should get hurt. I can see everything here, so if you feel unwell, please let me know immediately," and resumed the performance.

Kyung Hee University also announced the accident and broadcasted a message asking, "Please keep a little more distance for safety."

After the performance, Jung Yong-hwa shared on a fan communication platform, "More than being surprised, the student's health was important, so I went to check with the ambulance," and added, "Fortunately, the student was safe and I heard they went home."

Audience members at the scene uploaded videos of the incident on YouTube and social networking services (SNS). Netizens praised him with comments such as "Truly professional," "You can feel the experience," and "He calmly handled it despite being startled."

CNBLUE is a 14-year-old band that debuted in 2010. They are scheduled to resume activities with their 10th album ‘X’ on October 14.
