MZ Writers All Together... Yeongdeungpo-gu Showcases Bold Art Parade by Young Artists

September 27 to October 6 at Yeongdeungpo Art Square, 'Participatory Exhibition' Communicating with MZ Generation Artists
A Departure from Traditional Viewing Exhibitions, a Space to Breathe and Meet with Next-Generation Artists

Yeongdeungpo-gu (District Mayor Choi Ho-kwon) announced that from September 27 to October 6, a "participatory exhibition" showcasing works by emerging MZ generation artists who will lead the next-generation art market will be held at Yeongdeungpo Art Square.

This participatory exhibition will introduce the bold artistic march of 2030 MZ generation artists, who pursue a more active and self-directed life than any other generation, to the residents and provide an opportunity for communication together.

First, from September 27 to October 1, works by young emerging artists will be exhibited, hosted by the local gallery "Art Plus X." On the opening day, September 27, a "live drawing performance" will take place. This performance expresses the anguish of a vampire through ballet choreography and drawing, depicting a scene from the novel "Let Me In."

Instead of a monotonous traditional exhibition, programs where artists and audiences participate together, such as ▲sculpture omakase ▲water-based monotype, will also be held.

Following that, from October 2 to 6, works featuring experimental and bold attempts by the Yeongdeungpo Art Association and MZ generation artists will be introduced. Visitors will be able to encounter original and new works they have never seen before at this exhibition.

Along with the exhibition, a "art market" where hidden gems can be discovered will also be held. The "art market" provides a gateway for young artists who find it difficult to gain opportunities to exhibit and sell their works, and offers audiences the chance to purchase artworks at affordable prices.

Choi Ho-kwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo-gu, said, "On a wonderful day in October, I hope everyone enjoys the richness of autumn along with the works presented by emerging MZ generation artists at Yeongdeungpo Art Square," and added, "Yeongdeungpo-gu will strive to become a nationwide center for performances and cultural arts as well as a solid foundation for the growth and development of local artists."
