Min Hee-jin Gives Lecture: "Grateful for Support from Many Advertisers Including Apple"

Former ADORE CEO Min Hee-jin expressed her gratitude to the audience who came to her lecture and the sponsors who supported her.

On the afternoon of the 27th, Min gave a lecture titled "Min Hee-jin's Freestyle: The Producer Who Breaks the K-pop Formula" at the paid cultural event "2024 Hyundai Card Da Vinci Motel," hosted by Hyundai Card at a location in Itaewon, Yongsan-gu, Seoul.

As Min appeared at the lecture venue that day, cheers and applause poured out from the audience. She said, "Thank you for coming all this way, and please do not take photos with your phones." She continued, "We don’t have much time to face each other. Some of you may not be Bernies (NewJeans fandom), but I will try to talk as if I’m chatting with friends."

Min said, "My phone was blowing up today. Many people contacted me saying 'We support you,' 'Are you well prepared?' as if today were the last day." She added, "Even the Apple staff collectively cheered me on. I want to take this opportunity to express my thanks, and many sponsors besides Apple have given me a lot of support."

She emphasized, "The word 'sponsor' seems a bit cold. We have a very close partnership with our sponsors. I want to thank everyone who supported me once again."

Min also mentioned the Hive-related press conference. She said, "I don’t really like the term 'dopamine.' Actually, my press conference was held at the worst moment in my life, a time I wanted to erase, so the word 'dopamine' doesn’t resonate with me."

She continued, "After the press conference became a meme and all that ended, it was a huge wound. I spoke with difficulty, and it was a desperate story for me, but it was ridiculed and memed, which I couldn’t accept." She recalled, "I even did a radio show and then went home. Of course, I felt relieved, but it was bittersweet." However, she added, "Later, my acquaintances sent me a lot of memes, and among them was a parody of (NewJeans’) 'Ditto.' Watching that made me sad but also laugh. So I thought, 'I just have to let it go like this.'"
