Chorus Singing After 16 Years... 'Britpop Legend' Oasis to Hold Korea Concert Next Year

'Oasis' Reunites After 15 Years

The legendary British band Oasis, reuniting after 15 years, will visit Korea next year.

On the 26th (local time), the British music weekly NME reported through tour sources that Oasis will hold a world tour in 2025, with performances planned in Korea and Japan in Asia. Exact dates and ticket sales details are expected to be announced next week.

Formed in 1991, Oasis is a legendary band that left numerous hit songs such as "Live Forever," "Don't Look Back In Anger," and "Champagne Supernova," selling over 90 million albums worldwide. They were hugely popular in the 1990s and 2000s, known as the "Kings of Britpop."

However, due to escalating conflicts between the band's core members, brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher, Oasis officially disbanded on August 28, 2009. Since then, there have been several talks of reunions, but none materialized. Then, last month, Oasis announced their reunion after 15 years of disbandment. Fueled by this news, their previously released albums climbed back up the charts, regaining popularity.

Meanwhile, Oasis has revealed their tour schedule starting in July next year in Cardiff, UK. After Cardiff, Oasis will perform in Manchester, London, Edinburgh, and Dublin, Ireland. However, as ticket scalping became rampant, Oasis issued a statement warning against reselling tickets at high prices. The statement said, "Since the presale began, attempts to resell tickets have been detected," adding, "Concert tickets can only be resold at face value through 'Ticketmaster' and 'Twickets,' and tickets traded through unauthorized resale platforms may be canceled."

Meanwhile, Oasis first performed in Korea in 2006 and held a solo concert in Seoul in 2009. Next year's visit will be their first in 16 years.
