At Unjeong Health Park Water Playground Area
Gyeonggi Paju City announced on the 27th that it will hold the '3rd Paju City Urban Agriculture Expo' from October 4th to 6th at the Unjeong Health Park water play area.
Now in its third year, the Paju City Urban Agriculture Expo aims to promote coexistence between urban and rural areas through productive leisure activities for city residents and the creation of a sustainable environment.
At this year's Urban Agriculture Expo, various vegetable garden displays set up on the lawn plaza await visitors, including the '1st Urban Agriculture Manager Works Exhibition,' showcasing the hidden talents of urban agriculture managers trained by Paju City.
The main exhibition areas include ▲Urban Agriculture Model Exhibition Hall ▲Decorate Your Own Vegetable Garden ▲Korean Cymbidium and Saxifraga Works ▲Companion Trees such as Coffee Trees and Nandina ▲Natural Dyeing Works ▲Paju Attractions and On-site Sketch Works. Additionally, various exhibitions and hands-on experiences will be available for citizens, such as ▲Korean Cymbidium Experience ▲Create Your Own Pressed Flower Art ▲Planting Sprout Ginseng ▲Insect Diorama Experience ▲Natural Dyeing Experience ▲Making Blueberry Syrup and Baramtteok (wind rice cake) ▲Urban Agriculture Horticultural Plant Experience.
Works created by students from four local middle and high schools participating in the Youth Urban Agriculture Contest will be evaluated on-site by visitors, and on Sunday, the final day of the event, various leafy vegetables and plants grown in the vegetable gardens will be distributed to attendees.
Kim Kyung-il, Mayor of Paju City, said, “I hope this Urban Agriculture Expo will be a meaningful event that shares understanding and enjoyment of urban agriculture, and through various experiences, we will create a happy urban-rural complex city where city residents and farmers smile together.”
