Geumcheon-gu Hosts Free 'Our Neighborhood Concert' by Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra

Free Concert at Siheung Church on October 4th at 7 PM... Commentary Included with Classical and Non-Classical Music

Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yoo Seong-hoon) announced that it will hold a free concert by the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra (hereinafter referred to as Seoul Philharmonic) titled "Our Neighborhood Concert" at 7 p.m. on October 4th at Siheung Church (14, Geumha-ro 11-gil).


The Seoul Philharmonic is conducting various programs to popularize classical music and communicate with the local community.


This concert was planned to provide local residents with an opportunity to experience classical music up close.


The concert consists of eight diverse programs ranging from classical music such as Elgar's "Salut d'Amour" and Dvo??k's "Humoresque" to non-classical music like the "Disney Medley." Along with high-quality musical performances, explanations will be provided to help residents better understand classical music.

Kim Bo-ram, a score specialist at the Seoul Philharmonic, will host the event, and the Seoul Philharmonic ensemble, composed of violin, viola, cello, and piano, will perform.


Anyone from elementary school students to adults can attend free of charge, and the performance will last 60 minutes. Residents aged elementary school and above who wish to attend can apply through the "Other Reservations" section on the Geumcheon-gu Office website by October 3rd.


Yoo Seong-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, said, "We are pleased to provide local residents with the opportunity to experience classical music through the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra's 'Our Neighborhood Concert,'" adding, "We hope this performance will offer deep emotion and cultural enjoyment to the residents."
