If You Need Emergency Care, Apply for 'Nuguna Dolbom' Promotional text for the 'Care for Everyone' project.

"If you need emergency care in a crisis situation, use the 'Nuguna Dolbom' service."

Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi Province (Governor Seo Tae-won) announced on the 26th that it is implementing the 'Nuguna Dolbom' project to address care gaps caused by rapid aging and the increase of single-person households.

The Nuguna Dolbom project is a Gyeonggi Province public contest project, with 15 out of 31 cities and counties participating, including Gapyeong-gun. This year, Gapyeong-gun has allocated a budget of 120 million KRW (including 50% provincial subsidy) to support this project.

The Nuguna Dolbom project can be applied for at the administrative welfare centers in the applicant's town or township if they meet any of the following conditions: difficulty moving alone or performing independent daily activities, no family to provide care, or not using public care services or experiencing unavoidable gaps during service use.

Care costs are supported up to an annual limit of 1.5 million KRW per person. Those with income below 120% of the median income receive free service, those between 120% and 150% receive 50% subsidy on usage fees, and those above 150% of median income can use the service but must pay the full cost.

Gapyeong-gun provides three types of services: daily care, accompaniment care, and temporary protection.

Among these, daily care supports physical activities and household chores, while accompaniment care assists with hospital visits and daily errands. Both services can be used up to a maximum of 60 hours annually. Temporary protection provides meal and nursing support services at long-term care facilities for up to 15 days per year.

Ji Byeong-rok, Director of Welfare Policy Division, said, "Through the Nuguna Dolbom project, we expect to provide appropriate services to seniors and middle-aged people in welfare blind spots and resolve care gaps. We hope that those who have difficulty moving alone or performing independent daily activities and need urgent care will use the Nuguna Dolbom service."

Applications for Nuguna Dolbom can be made by calling the administrative welfare center in the applicant's town or township.
