Yangju-si Conducts Safety Inspections at Apartment Construction Sites

Deputy Mayor Kim Jeong-min Leads Joint Public-Private Inspection Team

Yangju City (Mayor Kang Su-hyun) announced on the 25th that it conducted on-site inspections of apartment construction sites within the city to prevent safety accidents at private construction sites and reduce accident fatalities.

A joint public-private inspection team, led by Vice Mayor Kim Jeong-min and composed of heads from the Safety Construction Division, Housing Division, Job Economy Division, and Gyeonggi-do Labor Safety Guardians, carried out inspections targeting apartment construction sites located in Deokjeong-dong.

The inspection focused on the continuous safety management status by the managing entity, adherence to safety rules, proper use of safety equipment, and included listening to workers' opinions.

In particular, Vice Mayor Kim Jeong-min personally inspected the site, raising awareness of the importance of safety management and heightening vigilance against accidents.

Vice Mayor Kim directly checked workers' use of safety equipment and the maintenance of construction materials and the work environment, confirming that the safety managers' continuous safety management system was functioning properly.

Vice Mayor Kim Jeong-min stated, “This joint inspection was conducted to prevent disasters and safety accidents. Since accidents always occur without warning, thorough prevention and securing safety awareness among both managers and workers must be the top priority,” and urged, “Please ensure thorough safety management so that the project can be completed without any safety accidents.”
