"Opening the Future with the Wisdom of Baduk" Uijeongbu City, Korea Baduk Association, and Shinhan University Sign Business Agreement

Mayor Kim Dong-geun is taking a commemorative photo together after signing a "Business Agreement for the Development of Baduk Culture and Fostering Future Talent" with the Korea Baduk Association and Shinhan University on September 25.

Uijeongbu City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Dong-geun) signed a "Business Agreement for the Development of Baduk Culture and the Nurturing of Future Talent" with the Korea Baduk Association and Shinhan University on the 25th.

This agreement was established to inherit the tradition of Baduk, create modern value, promote the development of Baduk culture, revitalize the local economy, and nurture future talent.

The signing ceremony held at the site of the new Baduk-exclusive stadium in the Howon-dong area was attended by Mayor Kim Dong-geun, Acting President Kim In-han of the Korea Baduk Association, and President Kang Seong-jong of Shinhan University, who pledged mutual cooperation.

According to the agreement, each institution will support the establishment of the Baduk Department at Shinhan University, operate joint programs for the spread of Baduk culture and regional development, and strive to make the Baduk-exclusive stadium a hub for Baduk culture and a base for revitalizing the local economy.

Mayor Kim Dong-geun said, "Today's agreement will be an important milestone opening new possibilities through a future-oriented partnership among Uijeongbu City, the Korea Baduk Association, and Shinhan University," adding, "We expect it to play a significant role in helping Uijeongbu City leap forward as a cultural industry hub through the fusion of Baduk's tradition and modern value."
