95 Public Institutions and Schools Operate 160 Experience Booths
Gangseo-gu, Seoul (Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon) will hold the "11th DreamJOB and 6th Parent CareerJOB with Children" at Banghwa Neighborhood Park from the 27th to the 28th.
Organized by the Gangseo Career and Job Experience Support Center, this event is designed to provide opportunities to experience various fields of work to help students with their future career choices.
This event, themed "Design Your Dream in the World (World Dream Design Day)," will be operated separately for first-year middle school students under the free semester system and their parents.
DreamJOB will be held on the 27th from 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM for about 4,000 first-year middle school students in the area under the free semester system. Parent CareerJOB will take place on the 28th from 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM for about 2,500 participants including elementary, middle, and high school students, parents, and multicultural families in the area.
This year, 95 institutions from public organizations, schools, and general workplaces in the region will operate 160 experience booths across four zones: Blue Zone, Green Zone, Red Zone, and World Zone.
The popular Blue Zone for students covers aviation, future new technologies, energy, and environment fields, offering experiences such as aviation security, drone manufacturing, and artificial intelligence.
The Green Zone focuses on academic experiences and career counseling/exploration, where participants can engage in education related to drugs and alcohol, English word puzzles and marketing games, and traditional architecture making.
The Red Zone introduces a diverse world of careers in health, medical, safety, and finance fields.
The World Zone, matching this year’s event theme, offers cultural experiences from countries in Europe, Asia, Latin America, and Africa. Through this, students reflect on themselves within multiculturalism and find their dreams and career paths.
Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon stated, “This career experience event is an important opportunity to give dreams and hope to the children who will lead the future of Gangseo-gu,” and added, “We hope it will be a valuable time for students and parents to experience various jobs and gain insights into their careers.”
