'Catch MZ Tourists'... Incheon Tourism Organization and AfreecaTV Promote Fishing Trip to Daeijakdo

On the 25th, Ongjin-gun, Incheon, and the Incheon Tourism Organization announced that they will produce promotional content together with AfreecaTV to revitalize tourism on Daeijakdo Island and attract new tourists.

This project, aimed at attracting MZ generation tourists to the islands of Ongjin-gun, plans to showcase the charm of Daeijakdo through a concept where AfreecaTV content creators embark on a fishing trip on the live social platform.

Targeting mainly young people in their 20s to 40s, various programs and events linked to AfreecaTV's main content areas?gaming, sports, and recreational activities?will be held. Currently, about 80% of AfreecaTV's platform users belong to this age group, making it essential to produce content that reflects their interests.

Experiences such as boat fishing and exploring tidal flats, which highlight the unique features of Daeijakdo, are among the main programs. In particular, popular BJs OmeKim, Ori, Hyangi, and Domalgeum will participate in real-time live broadcasts from Daeijakdo. Each of them has a large fan base with distinct personalities and unique content, and they will stream the natural scenery and fishing experiences of Daeijakdo live.

Fans will be able to vicariously experience Daeijakdo through the vivid experiences of the BJs on the broadcasts. The Incheon Tourism Organization expects that this will help promote the diverse tourism resources of Daeijakdo nationwide and attract the interest of potential tourists.

Moreover, this project holds special significance as it is being carried out in cooperation with the residents of Daeijakdo. To capture the MZ generation, a youth representative from Daeijakdo actively participates from the planning stage, deciding on programs and schedules, while residents prepare props needed for filming, actively promoting the charm of Daeijakdo.

Baek Hyun, president of the Incheon Tourism Organization, stated, "Based on the results of this project, we plan to continue various collaborations with AfreecaTV on the islands of Ongjin-gun, including Daeijakdo."
