"Continuous Expansion Targeting Universities Nationwide"
Kakao's corporate foundation Kakao Impact announced on the 25th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Yonsei University's Institute for Higher Education Innovation for the 'Tech for Impact Campus.'
Through this agreement, Kakao Impact and Yonsei University will jointly promote the 'Tech for Impact Campus.' The 'Tech for Impact Campus' is a program that opens project-based classes connecting students with nonprofit organizations to develop technological solutions for social issues, providing growth opportunities for students. Since last year, project classes have been conducted with KAIST.

Kakao Impact and Yonsei University will collaborate on ▲joint planning and development of classes ▲opening and operating classes. Kakao Impact will additionally support ▲expert mentoring composed of Kakao and affiliate employees and social innovators ▲external promotion ▲project funding.
Yonsei University plans to open and conduct Tech for Impact project classes for undergraduates as early as the first semester of 2025. Students participating in this class will engage in contemplating social issues and developing solutions using digital technology. To support this, Brian Impact Fellows, composed of social innovators, along with active developers and planners from Kakao and its affiliates, will participate as mentors to assist the students.
Ryu Seok-young, Director of Kakao Impact, said, "Starting with the MOU with Yonsei University, we plan to strengthen cooperation with universities nationwide," adding, "We will continue to strive to provide future talents in our country with experiences that lead positive social change through the use of technology."
