'Park Inhwan Literature Festival' Held in Inje-gun from 27th to 29th

Colorful Events Including Meetings with 6 Picture Book Authors, Book Market, and Mini Lectures

Inje-gun, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province (Governor Choi Sang-gi) announced on the 25th that the '2024 Park In-hwan Literary Festival' will be held from the 27th to the 29th of this month at the Park In-hwan Literature Museum area in Inje-gun, commemorating the 98th anniversary of poet Park In-hwan's birth.

Hosted by the Inje Cultural Foundation, this festival is themed around Park In-hwan's poem "Promise," featuring various literary programs that explore promises children and youth should keep as they grow, as well as the hopes and happiness of participants.

The festival includes lectures spanning various fields, such as meetings with six picture book authors who will run book talks and experiential programs in different spaces, a book talk lecture titled "Birds, Humans, and Fairy Tales" by author Kwon Oh-jun, and a book talk lecture by author Kim Ri-ri of "Wangguri's Rice Cake Shop."

Especially notable are lectures that engage closely with the audience, including announcer Han Seok-jun's "Speaking with Charm for a Happy Life," science YouTuber Exo-ssam's "Unheard-of Fun Science Stories," and an emotional concert, all of which are raising participants' expectations.

Additionally, the festival features seminars that reexamine the life and literature of poet Park In-hwan, a nationwide Park In-hwan writing contest, the Park In-hwan Award ceremony, and diverse programs such as Inje Adventure, which involves missions related to the ecology, history, and culture of Park In-hwan and Inje.

Moreover, a book market with participation from publishers and bookstores nationwide, mini-lectures, various permanent experiential programs, and museum tour mission events will be held, aiming to operate a festival that both residents and tourists can enjoy.
