A video showing a woman causing a disturbance by grabbing and throwing items displayed in a convenience store in China has sparked controversy.
According to local media such as sohu.com, a video of a woman causing a disturbance at a convenience store in Wuhan, southern Hubei Province, on the 18th is spreading mainly on Chinese social networking services (SNS).
The released video shows a woman dressed in black recklessly throwing various items, including drinks in boxes, from the convenience store shelves onto the floor. The clerk and customers nearby appeared stunned and just watched quietly. The commotion ended when the police arrived after a report and took the woman into custody.
Local netizens who saw the video reacted with comments such as "She seems mentally ill," "No one would act like that unless they were sick," "Make her compensate for all the items," "This is embarrassing for China," "Why didn’t the clerks stop her?" "If this happened in my store, I wouldn’t have let it go," "There are too many strange people these days," "I think I saw a similar video recently," and "What made her do that?"
Meanwhile, the exact reason why the woman caused the disturbance has not been revealed.
In August, a similar incident occurred in China. At that time, a video of a woman throwing items in a store was shared on SNS, causing controversy. Earlier in March, an incident in southwestern Guizhou Province involved a woman who appeared intoxicated smashing a store, which also caused a stir.
