Building on this collaboration, CJ Group plans to use Saudi Arabia, where government support for the entertainment and media markets is substantial and growth potential is high, as a base to further explore business opportunities in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, home to 600 million people. CJ Group stated, "As a leading company driving the global cultural industry, we will strive to spread K-Culture in the Middle East."

Meanwhile, during his visit to Saudi Arabia, Chairman Lee visited the Global Distribution Center (GDC) under construction by CJ Logistics at the integrated logistics zone of Riyadh Airport to encourage employees. The Saudi GDC is envisioned by CJ Logistics as a key hub for the CBE (Cross-Border E-commerce) logistics business. It plans to collaborate with globally recognized health functional food retailers and others to handle international shipping in the Middle East region.
