Hamyang County Holds 2nd Meeting of 'Orego Hamyang' Task Force

Checking and Sharing Progress and Collaboration
Breaking Down Departmental Barriers for Perfect Preparation

Hamyang County, Gyeongnam, announced on the 25th that the second meeting of the 'Orrego(GO) Hamyang' task force was held in the county office's small conference room, attended by Deputy County Governor Jo Yeomoon (head of the task force), department heads, and about 15 other officials.


The county holds monthly task force meetings to ensure the successful implementation of the mountain climbing completion certification project 'Orrego(GO) Hamyang.' In this second meeting, the task force reviewed the progress of matters raised in the previous meeting and checked the overall status of the project.

Deputy County Governor Jo Yeomoon emphasized, "For the prompt completion of preliminary procedures for the construction of support facilities such as the Baekmudong Support Center, observation parks, and parking lots, inter-departmental sharing and cooperation are essential." He added, "In particular, please make thorough efforts to maintain hiking trails and guide signs for the safety of visitors, and actively work to ensure smooth project progress by addressing issues discovered during the pilot operation of the mobile app scheduled to launch early next year."


'Orrego(GO) Hamyang' is a mountain climbing completion certification project that involves climbing 15 famous mountains over 1,000 meters within Hamyang County, including Jirisan and Deogyusan National Parks. Through this project, the county expects to revitalize the local economy, increase the resident population, create youth jobs, and strengthen the regional brand.


To this end, on July 25, the county formed the 'Orrego(GO) Hamyang' task force, led by the deputy county governor and composed of five departments (Future Development Officer, Planning and Audit Officer, Culture and Tourism Division, Forest and Greenery Division, Safety and Urban Division). The task force is focusing on systematic and comprehensive preparation by checking and sharing progress between departments and coordinating collaborative efforts.
