Almek (CEO Shin Sang-ho), a global electric vehicle aluminum parts specialist, announced on the 25th that it has officially started operations of its next-generation global logistics factory in Montgomery, Alabama, USA.
Almek, a global electric vehicle parts company, established a local corporation in Montgomery, Alabama in August last year for local extrusion production, and with the first phase investment, it has begun operating the logistics factory. The ongoing second phase of local extrusion production aims to start operations in the first half of 2026. By securing a production base in the U.S., the company expects to build entry barriers, enhance responsiveness to local customers, and play a role in capturing new customers in the U.S. market.
Earlier this year, Almek secured a site of 40,000 pyeong and began operating a new logistics factory of 2,000 pyeong from September, providing supply stability and quality service support to local customers. In addition, this strengthens logistics competitiveness in the North American market, raising expectations for market expansion in North America.
CEO Shin Sang-ho expressed, “Despite the challenging internal and external conditions due to the electric vehicle chasm, I deeply appreciate the hard work of our employees in completing the logistics factory. We promise to continue progressing smoothly with the schedule for local extrusion production and create an opportunity for Almek and Almek Alabama to take another leap forward.”
