Korea Zinc announced on the 25th that it will participate in the world's largest hydrogen specialized exhibition, '2024 H2 Meet (H2 Mobility Energy Environment Technology),' held for three days from the 25th to the 27th at KINTEX Exhibition Hall 1 in Ilsan.
Through this exhibition, which Korea Zinc is participating in for the third consecutive year, the company plans to focus on promoting the vision of its 'Renewable Energy and Green Hydrogen Business,' a core pillar of the 'Troika Drive.' The exhibition hall uses 'green and blue' as key colors and is designed with the motif of a ship sailing on the sea. The floor is equipped with LED lighting to symbolize hydrogen produced using water and clean energy.
Inside the exhibition hall, detailed explanations about green metals produced by Korea Zinc through green hydrogen (produced with 100% renewable energy) are provided. The circular structure at the top of the booth represents the spreading of water droplets, symbolizing Korea Zinc's influence on the industry. The lighting patterns of water and wind projected on the space screen create a bright and futuristic atmosphere throughout the booth.
In particular, two main dioramas are installed at the center of the booth to help visitors easily understand and approach the complex business structure. The first diorama depicts the development and production process of green hydrogen using renewable energy power generation in Australia. The green hydrogen produced in Australia is planned to be imported to Korea in the form of green ammonia. The second diorama showcases various applications of green hydrogen domestically, allowing visitors to see the value chain of Korea Zinc's renewable energy and green hydrogen business at a glance.
Additionally, visitors can learn about the process of supplying 25% of the annual power demand of the SMC smelter with solar energy, following the completion of a 124 MW solar power plant?the largest in Australia in 2018?on the site of its subsidiary, SMC smelter in Australia. The booth also presents Korea Zinc's renewable energy business portfolio and progress centered on Australia, including the development and operation expertise of renewable energy through its Australian subsidiary Ark Energy in 2022 and the acquisition of Epuron.
