The Gwangjin District Council of Seoul (Chairperson Jeon Eun-hye) held a meaningful time on the 24th welcoming the delegation from Ere?li District, Turkey, to strengthen international exchange and friendly relations.
This event was held as part of the official visit schedule of the delegation from Ere?li District, Turkey, an international sister city of Gwangjin District Office. The delegation, led by Mayor ?mit Akpınar of Ere?li District, visited the Gwangjin District Council.
The district council, including Chairperson Jeon Eun-hye and council members, welcomed the visiting delegation and enhanced understanding of local autonomy through a meeting and a tour of the council facilities.
Mayor ?mit Akpınar of Ere?li District, who attended the meeting, said, “I sincerely appreciate the warm welcome from the Gwangjin District Council,” and added, “We will further strengthen the cooperative relationship with the Gwangjin District Council until the day we introduce Korean culture on the cultural road to be established in Turkey.”
Jeon Eun-hye, Chairperson of the Gwangjin District Council, stated, “Korea and Turkey are brotherly countries sharing a long history, including Turkey’s participation in the Korean War and Gwangjin District’s donation during the Turkey earthquake disaster,” and expressed hope that “through active exchange and cooperation, we will continue to be partners growing together in various fields such as industry, culture, and tourism.”
