Inspection of Progress at Paju-Yangju Section 4 Construction Site
Yangju Mayor Kang Su-hyun, along with Vice Mayor Kim Jeong-min and related senior officials, visited the site of Section 4 of the Metropolitan Area 2nd Ring Expressway (Paju-Yangju) on the 24th, held an executive meeting, and took a commemorative photo. On the morning of the 24th, Kang Su-hyun, Mayor of Yangju City, visited the site of Section 4 of the Metropolitan Area 2nd Ring Expressway (Paju-Yangju) along with Vice Mayor Kim Jeong-min and related senior officials, and held an on-site meeting.
On this day, Mayor Kang received a report on the overall progress, including the construction status and scheduled opening of the Metropolitan Area 2nd Ring Expressway (Paju-Yangju), and exchanged opinions with the officials.
The Metropolitan Area 2nd Ring Expressway (Paju-Yangju), connecting Bugok-ri, Paju-eup, Paju City to Hoeam-dong, Yangju City, has a total length of 24.75 km, of which the Yangju section is 16.96 km.
Construction began in 2017 and is scheduled to open this December. It is expected to establish a transportation network in the northern Gyeonggi region, dramatically improve accessibility to the metropolitan area and southern regions, and provide a foundation for Yangju City to become the central city of northern Gyeonggi.
Mayor Kang Su-hyun urged, “The Metropolitan Area 2nd Ring Expressway (Paju-Yangju) is a road connecting the east and west of Yangju City and a key axis for balanced east-west development, so please make every effort to complete the construction promptly.”
