1,202 Athletes and Others to Participate in 49 Events
The Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province delegation competing in the 105th National Sports Festival pledged to achieve victory.
According to the Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province Sports Council (Chairman Jeong Gang-seon) on the 24th, the '105th National Sports Festival Jeonbuk Delegation Resolution Ceremony' was held at the outdoor plaza on the first floor of the provincial sports hall.
About 500 people attended the resolution ceremony, including Governor Kim Kwan-young, Provincial Assembly Chairman Moon Seung-woo, Superintendent of Education Seo Geo-seok, Deputy Chairmen of the Provincial Assembly Lee Myung-yeon and Kim Hee-soo, Chairman of the Culture, Safety and Fire Committee Park Jeong-gyu, media representatives, executives and advisors of the provincial sports council, city and county sports council presidents, heads of sports organizations, and athletes.

The ceremony, which opened with a Nanta performance as a pre-event show, proceeded with the introduction of the participating delegation, the presentation of the delegation flag, and the oath-taking by representatives of athletes and coaches.
All attendees united in their wish for 'Jeonbuk Sports Victory.' They also pledged to do their best to make Jeonbuk sports the center of Korean sports.
This year's National Sports Festival will be held for a week starting from the 11th of next month in Gimhae City, the main host city, and throughout Gyeongnam Province. Jeonbuk will send a total of 1,675 participants, including 1,202 athletes and 473 officials, competing in 49 sports, proudly representing the province.
Governor Kim Kwan-young said, "I believe that the proud sons and daughters of Jeonbuk will do their best with pride as representatives of Jeonbuk," adding, "I will attend the opening ceremony of the National Sports Festival to cheer them on."
Provincial Assembly Chairman Moon Seung-woo stated, "I hope the value of the sweat shed by the Jeonbuk delegation and the strength of Jeonbuk will be widely recognized, and I will cheer enthusiastically together with the residents of Jeonbuk."
Superintendent of Education Seo Geo-seok encouraged, "I hope you will demonstrate the skills you have honed with a vigorous spirit of challenge and unyielding courage, and deliver high-level performances."
Jeong Gang-seon, Chairman of the Provincial Sports Council and head of the Jeonbuk delegation, said, "Our proud athletes have endured intense training, shedding countless sweat and tears," and added, "I hope they will compete fairly and without regrets, and let us do our best to elevate the status of Jeonbuk sports."
