Travel YouTuber GwakTube (real name Gwak Junbin) has come under fire for defending Lee Naeun, who is accused of bullying within her group, and dancer-turned-YouTuber Yoon Lucas has shown his support for him.

On the 23rd, Yoon Lucas uploaded a video titled "Cheer up, GwakTube" on his YouTube channel. He said, "I'm going to be honest, even if I lose subscribers," and explained, "(The controversial video) is about GwakTube having experienced school violence in the past, and after seeing articles about Lee Naeun's alleged school violence, he blocked and then unblocked her on social media (SNS)." He continued, "But now he’s not just being criticized; he’s falling into ruin. Isn’t it true that (Lee Naeun) did not commit school violence?" He added, "The person who spread false information apologized and even withdrew the lawsuit. People might ask, 'Wasn't there a bullying incident?' but what GwakTube talked about was a school violence incident, not a bullying incident."

He went on, "Of course, some might think, 'Didn’t GwakTube know about the bullying incident and still say those things?' but by that logic, it’s also possible he really didn’t know." He argued, "Let’s assume there’s an 80% chance he knew and a 20% chance he didn’t. Even if he didn’t know, what then? His life is already falling apart." He also said, "When did GwakTube 'forgive on behalf' of Lee Naeun? Isn’t this just an overinterpretation?" He added, "Of course, I think GwakTube’s fans can say things like, 'Did she really have to appear despite all the talk about the bullying incident?' But sending him to ruin just because he said he misunderstood after seeing the school violence article is really not right."

"Insults Are Okay, But Don't Ruin Lives"... Dancer-Turned-YouTuber Defends GwakTube YouTuber KwakTube received criticism after posting a travelogue of his trip to Italy with actress Lee Na-eun. [Source=YouTube channel 'KwakTube' screenshot]

Earlier, on the 16th, GwakTube posted a travel video in Rome, Italy, with Lee Naeun, a former member of the group April. In the video, he said, "I was sensitive whenever the school violence topic came up," and "I immediately blocked you, but then I saw an article saying it wasn’t true. As a victim of school violence, I have talked a lot about it, but I felt like I was actually hurting the person who was misunderstood," making remarks that seemed to defend Lee Naeun, which sparked public backlash. Lee Naeun was accused of ostracizing member Lee Hyunju during her group activities. In response to the controversy, GwakTube apologized again, saying, "I have deeply reflected on my shortcomings. From now on, I will take greater responsibility to avoid words or actions that could hurt someone."
