Seondeokwon is a child care facility located in Jongno-gu, Seoul. SK Ecoplant established a relationship starting with a year-end concert for the children in 2022 and has been carrying out various social contribution activities since then. Ahead of Children's Day last year, they organized a sea trip and a mudflat experience in Boryeong, Chungnam, for the children.

This year, to celebrate Children's Day, they continued to give the children a special travel gift. SK Ecoplant conducted an experiential activity where the children took the KTX train together to visit IN THE SOOP in Pyeongchang, Gangwon. IN THE SOOP is a filming location for K-pop related content and is a tourist destination attracting attention from domestic and international fans. This trip was created to provide new memories for children who had never traveled by train before. Korail Tourism Development supported the train fare, adding to the kindness.

SK Ecoplant traveled with the children from Seoul Station by KTX. Upon arriving at IN THE SOOP, the children played in the lush nature and took photos at the photo booth, creating precious memories. Then, they took a bus to Bongpyeong-myeon and visited a cultural and artistic village themed around author Lee Hyo-seok, who wrote the novel "When the Buckwheat Flowers Bloom," experiencing modern Korean culture in a meaningful way.

SK Ecoplant also operates learning volunteer services and birthday parties for the children of Seondeokwon through the talent donations of its members. Every month, they recruit a volunteer group from employees to serve as learning helpers at Seondeokwon. The selected volunteers visit Seondeokwon every Monday to provide customized lessons for preschoolers and lower-grade students. On the last week of each month, they hold birthday parties for children whose birthdays fall that month. The birthday children participate in a cake-cutting ceremony, dine out, and visit a bookstore to purchase gifts.

Last year, SK Ecoplant also carried out a social contribution activity called "Happy Space Environment Improvement" through talent donations from its members. Over five days, they focused on repairing leaks inside and outside the building to prevent water leakage during the rainy season. They also repaired other convenience facilities such as expanding insufficient storage space, re-installing floor decks, and constructing roofs for outdoor playgrounds to help the children live more comfortably.

Additionally, a vehicle delivery ceremony is planned to ensure the safe transportation of the children. SK Ecoplant accumulates social value donation funds whenever employees participate in volunteer activities or carbon reduction efforts. The accumulated donation fund, worth about 100 million KRW, is allocated to donation recipients selected by employee voting. This time, the donation was decided to support three vehicles to facilitate the mobility of the children at Seondeokwon. SK Ecoplant recently completed the purchase, and the delivery ceremony will be held once the vehicles are delivered.

An SK Ecoplant official said, "Just as SK Ecoplant strives for a sustainable future for the Earth, we will continue to steadily implement social contribution programs for future generations in the local community."
