The entire donation from AliExpress will be used as funding for the '2025 Blue Lighthouse Donation Scholarship Project' and will be allocated as living expense scholarships for low-income college students in Korea. The Korea Student Aid Foundation plans to provide scholarships of 7 million KRW per year per student to a total of 100 scholarship recipients starting from the first semester of 2025 using the funds donated by AliExpress.

AliExpress will also offer selected scholarship recipients the opportunity to participate in the 'Global Talent Development Program,' which includes a visit to Alibaba Group’s headquarters in Hangzhou. Through this program, scholarship students will have the chance to meet employees working in IT and artificial intelligence (AI) departments at Alibaba Group and observe their work environments.

Byungil Bae, Chairman of the Korea Student Aid Foundation, said, "I would like to express my gratitude to AliExpress Korea for supporting various experiential programs such as tuition, living expenses, and visits to Alibaba Group’s headquarters so that talented college students can grow into future IT and AI professionals. I hope that domestic college students in difficult circumstances will grow into reliable future talents through this project."

Ray Zhang, CEO of AliExpress Korea, stated, "We are pleased to provide a stepping stone for young people to become future IT talents. Through this donation, we hope young people will have the opportunity to reduce their financial burdens and focus on their studies. AliExpress will continue to strive to give back the love we have received from our customers."
