Nationwide Design Contest Winners Announced, Capturing the Unique and Friendly Essence of Hamyang's Mountains, Sea, and Places
Hamyang County in Gyeongnam announced on the 24th that it has unveiled the brand identity (BI) design selected through a design contest for "Oreugo, Hamyang," a mountain climbing completion certification project.
"Oreugo, Hamyang," a key project of the 8th popularly elected Hamyang County administration, is a mountain climbing completion certification project that introduces 15 famous mountains over 1,000 meters above sea level within Hamyang County, aiming to revitalize local tourism and increase the resident population.
The selected brand identity (BI) design creatively incorporates the mountains, sun, and location icon of Hamyang into the English word "GO," symbolizing the uniqueness and friendliness of "Oreul GO, Hamyang."
The chosen design will be utilized for the "Oreugo Hamyang" app, which is set to officially launch in January next year, as well as for the production of completion souvenirs and promotional materials.
Previously, Hamyang County held a contest last July for the brand naming, image (BI/brand identity), and applied designs of "Oreugo, Hamyang," and after two rounds of judging, the final design was selected.
County Governor Jin Byungyoung stated, "We have selected a brand image that will remain memorable for those who visit Hamyang County's famous mountains," and added, "I hope that many mountain lovers will visit Hamyang's famous peaks and fill their bodies and minds with healing."
