The 2024 ATF (Asian Tennis Federation) International Junior Tennis Tournament will be held for 7 days from the 22nd to the 28th at the Namwon Comprehensive Sports Town Tennis Courts in Namwon-si, Jeonbuk.

Ranking points are awarded based on match results, which determine the players' rankings. It is a must-attend tournament for promising young talents who represent the future of Asian tennis.

The event is hosted by the Asian Tennis Federation and the Korea Tennis Association, and organized by the Namwon Base Sports Club. About 800 players under the age of 14, along with their families and coaching staff, participated. The qualifying rounds will be held over two days from September 22 to 23. The main draw will then take place over five days from the 24th to the 28th to determine the champion.

Two players from Namwon Base Sports Club, Kim Jin-hong (boys' division) from Unbong Elementary School and Jang Ye-ram (girls' division) from Namwon Elementary School, are participating in the tournament. These players are attracting attention as potential successors to Jo Se-hyuk, who won the boys' singles title in the under-14 category at the 2022 Wimbledon Tennis Championships.

Meanwhile, Namwon Base Sports Club, which organized the tournament, held the first 'Namwon Mayor's Cup Dream Tree Tennis Tournament' in June. With the hosting of this tournament, the club is striving to continue the reputation of Namwon as a tennis hub that has produced famous players such as Lee Deok-hee and Kim Chun-ho, and to make another leap forward.

Additionally, through managing sports such as boxing, table tennis, soccer, and tennis, the club contributes to nurturing elite athletes and promoting recreational sports. By attracting youth soccer training camps in January and boxing training camps in August, it also supports regional economic revitalization through sports marketing.

Jin Jang-seok, chairman of Namwon Base Sports Club, stated, "Namwon Base Sports Club is committed to fostering student-athletes by providing excellent coaches after school, focusing on elite athlete development and the promotion of recreational sports." He added, "We will strive to attract and develop more sports competitions to contribute to regional economic revitalization and the health improvement of local residents."
