Yangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kang Su-hyun) announced on the 23rd that it has formed the "Yangju City Safe Jeonse Management Team" and appointed 16 members, including the head of the Yangju branch of the Korea Association of Realtors.

The "Yangju City Safe Jeonse Management Team" is part of the "Public-Private Joint Safe Jeonse Project," designed to prevent Jeonse fraud and establish a safe Jeonse culture.

The appointed members will take the lead in creating a sound and transparent brokerage culture by monitoring illegal activities in the real estate sector, such as Jeonse fraud, and conducting joint guidance and inspections.

They also plan to actively promote the "Safe Jeonse Gateway Guard Campaign" to local realtors and encourage their participation.

Additionally, the city explained that it will distribute "Safe Jeonse Guardian" certification mark stickers to real estate offices participating in this activity to ensure citizens can use their services with confidence and will actively promote this initiative.

The management team's primary goals are ▲not brokering risky properties ▲providing accurate property information to tenants ▲checking the Jeonse fraud prevention broker checklist ▲providing the Jeonse fraud prevention tenant checklist ▲disclosing the identity of real estate office workers ▲notifying changes in contract-related information such as rights after the contract, thereby establishing a safe Jeonse culture.

A city official stated, "Through this project, the public and private sectors will cooperate to establish a trustworthy and safe Jeonse culture, eradicate illegal real estate activities, and strive to establish a fair and transparent real estate transaction order."
