Seoul Metro Hosts Event Promoting Zero Tolerance for Power Abuse and Respect for Human Rights Among Managers

Theatrical Training 'Gapjil Omnibus' Performed for Managers to Prevent Power Abuse Cases
Seoul Metro (President Baek Ho) held a cultural event on the 23rd titled "People-Centered, Human Rights-Respecting Corporate Culture Creation" to mark the 50th anniversary of the opening of the Seoul subway and to promote the eradication of power abuse and the spread of a culture respecting human rights.
The cultural event, consisting of two parts, began with the "Declaration Ceremony of the Human Rights Management Charter by Executives and Employees," followed by a "Theatrical Training for Managers to Prevent Power Abuse."
At the first part, the Declaration Ceremony of the Human Rights Management Charter by Executives and Employees, a total of 10 representatives, including the president of the corporation, executives, and representatives from various sectors (sales, vehicles, crew, technology, security), read aloud the corporation’s Human Rights Management Charter and pledged to practice human rights management.
The corporation held the "Human Rights Management Declaration Ceremony" in 2019 to commemorate the 2nd anniversary of its establishment. Then, in 2022, it revised the "Human Rights Management Declaration" into the "Human Rights Management Charter," specifying the content by increasing the number of articles from 9 to 10.
Following the Human Rights Management Charter declaration ceremony, the second part of the event featured a theatrical training titled "Power Abuse Omnibus Case Play" for 150 managers to eradicate power abuse.
The main contents included ▲ improving awareness of the concept and judgment criteria of power abuse through case plays such as power abuse by superiors ▲ sharing and explaining the power abuse regulations within the employee code of conduct and measures to prevent power abuse.
Mutacompany, which conducted the case play training, is a cultural and artistic educational institution that has been producing and performing educational plays and musicals since 2012. They specialized in education aimed at improving understanding and awareness of power abuse judgment criteria through specific cases such as abusive superiors, enabling superiors, verbal abuse, and unfair work orders.
The corporation plans to hold various cultural events to eradicate power abuse and respect human rights, including subsidiaries, partner companies, and various stakeholders, to realize a fair society, fulfill social responsibilities, achieve zero human rights violations, and eradicate power abuse.
Baek Ho, president of Seoul Metro, said, "I hope this cultural event will serve as an opportunity to strengthen the resolve to eradicate power abuse and respect human rights and to spread an organizational culture of mutual respect and consideration." He added, "Going forward, the corporation will establish human rights improvement and power abuse eradication human rights management to create an organizational culture where various stakeholders mutually respect and consider each other."
