Incheon Bupyeong-gu Special Crackdown on Illegal Activities in Development Restriction Zones Until the 27th

Bupyeong-gu, Incheon, will conduct a special crackdown on illegal activities within the development restriction zone until the 27th.

The district plans to focus on habitual offenders, those committing illegal acts for profit, and those who fail to comply with correction orders.

The main crackdown targets include constructing buildings or changing their use without permission, installing structures, unauthorized alteration of farmland into parking lots, and unauthorized cultivation by damaging forest land.

If buildings are constructed or land is altered habitually or for profit within the development restriction zone, penalties of up to 3 years imprisonment or fines up to 30 million won will be imposed under the Special Act on the Designation and Management of Development Restriction Zones.

Additionally, enforcement fines will be imposed up to twice a year until the correction orders for the illegal acts are fulfilled.

A Bupyeong-gu official stated, "We will eradicate illegal activities within the development restriction zone to secure a healthy living environment for residents," adding, "We especially plan to focus inspections on blind spots that have been overlooked by enforcement for decades."
