Dong-Eui Institute of Technology Department of Hair and Beauty Selected as 'Excellent Training Course Certification Institution for Competency-Based Qualifications' for Two Consecutive Years

Operation of the 'Premium Certification Class' Hosted by Korea Industrial Human Resources Corporation

The Department of Hair Beauty at Dong-Eui Institute of Technology (President Kim Youngdo, Department Head Kim Taeyoung) announced on the 23rd that it has been selected as a "2024 Excellent Educational Training Course Certification Institution for Process-based Qualifications" for the second consecutive year, following its selection in 2023.

The "Excellent Course Certification System for Process-based Qualifications," hosted by the Human Resources Development Service of Korea, is a system that selects certification institutions through a rigorous on-site evaluation among those that have operated process-based qualification education and training for more than three years and have demonstrated outstanding achievements.

The Department of Hair Beauty at Dong-Eui Institute of Technology has been designated as a process-based national technical qualification education and training institution for hairdressers (general) since 2016, was selected as an excellent operating institution in 2019, and continues to provide education and training as of 2024. In addition, the qualification acquisition rate for hairdressers (general) has averaged over 98% (three-year average) based on the number of students who completed the course.

The process-based national technical qualification is a highly challenging qualification, designed based on the National Competency Standards (NCS). Students must complete more than 400 hours in the Department of Hair Beauty, which has passed the designated evaluation by the Human Resources Development Service of Korea, and must achieve a combined score of 80 or higher, with 50% from internal evaluation by the department and 50% from external evaluation by the Human Resources Development Service of Korea. For this reason, it is often called a "premium qualification."

The Department of Hair Beauty at Dong-Eui Institute of Technology is the only process-based qualification training institution for hairdressers (general) in the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam region designated by the Human Resources Development Service of Korea, and provides field-oriented education and training that enables students to obtain certifications through school classes alone.
