Deloitte Anjin Hosts Seminar on HR and Tax Management for Overseas Expansion Companies

Deloitte Anjin LLC announced on the 23rd that it will hold a 'Global HR and Tax Management' seminar on the 2nd of next month on the 3rd floor of the Two IFC Building at Seoul International Financial Center in Yeouido, Seoul, targeting HR and tax managers of major domestic companies.

Deloitte Anjin has been hosting an annual seminar under the theme of 'Global Mobility,' addressing HR management and tax issues encountered by domestic companies operating global businesses, as well as the latest trends in workforce management.


In this seminar, practical tax management measures to mitigate potential risks will be discussed from a hands-on perspective for domestic companies attempting overseas expansion in various forms such as establishing overseas local subsidiaries, mergers and acquisitions, and joint ventures, or expanding their business footprint abroad. The seminar will also share actual cases of managing overseas expatriates and explore the challenges and directions for effective global HR management.


In the first session, Kim Dowon, Executive Director of Deloitte Consulting's Human Capital Group, will introduce 'HR systems and development frameworks for effectively managing global talent' from the perspectives of corporate organization, HR, and workforce management, and will cover practical tasks and checklists necessary for dispatching, settling, and managing overseas expatriates.


In the second session, Kwon Hyukgi, Partner of Deloitte Anjin's GES (Global Expatriate Services) Group, will compare and analyze pre-tax checkpoints by type of personnel dispatch and introduce the necessity and effectiveness of tax equalization policies. This session will also review tax issues and trends in major dispatch countries, providing a comprehensive tax discussion on overseas expatriates.


In the final session, Choi Ji-eun, Team Leader of Global Talent Management at SK Hynix, will present cases of managing overseas expatriates. Insights on efficient system operation at each stage of the expatriate lifecycle will also be shared. A panel session will be arranged to directly discuss concerns and questions from corporate practitioners on-site.


Kwon Ji-won, Head of Deloitte Anjin's Tax Advisory Division, stated, "In a rapidly changing business environment, new paradigms and differentiated considerations are emerging. Domestic companies operating global businesses face increasing challenges in complex HR and tax management. It is essential to swiftly incorporate the latest global HR and tax management trends and seek effective solutions applicable to practical work."
