[Special Stock] IronDevice, Korea's Only Smart Power Amplifier Chip Designer... Steep Growth Expected

Iron Devices, a company specializing in mixed-signal system semiconductor SoCs, is showing strong performance on its first day of listing. Iron Devices achieved sales of 6.2 billion KRW last year. The sales forecast is 15.1 billion KRW for this year, 29.7 billion KRW in 2025, and 59.3 billion KRW in 2026.

As of 9:44 AM on the 23rd, Iron Devices is trading at 14,800 KRW, up 111.43% from the public offering price of 7,000 KRW.

Founded in 2008 by experts from Samsung Electronics System LSI Division and Fairchild (now ON Semiconductor), Iron Devices designs smart power amplifier chips based on mixed-signal SoC design technology and is the only domestic company supplying global set manufacturers.

Iron Devices is expanding its business into various applications such as speaker driving amplifiers, audio-haptic drivers that combine tactile and audio functions, and display sound amplifiers that attach ceramic piezo elements to OLED displays to use them as speakers, based on ▲ultra-low noise high-performance analog circuit technology ▲high-performance control and signal processing digital technology ▲power driving and sensing technology based on power electronics.

Utilizing its proprietary high-voltage/high-power IP, the company is actively conducting R&D on power IC technology for compound power semiconductors. Using galvanic isolation technology verified over many years, it plans to expand its business to produce IPMs (Intelligent Power Modules) by combining compound semiconductor devices and power ICs in packaging in the future.

Jongseon Park, a researcher at Eugene Investment & Securities, said, "Iron Devices is the only company in Korea to successfully localize and commercialize smart power amplifiers," and added, "Despite the stagnation in the smartphone market, growth is expected due to increasing demand for high-performance amplifiers." He also noted, "The freely tradable shares after listing account for 28.6% of the total shares, which is not a burdensome level."
