KB Securities announced on the 23rd that it conducted online financial education for the 'Gangwon Baramgaebi Supporters,' a support group for youth preparing for independence in the Gangwon region.
The Baramgaebi Supporters are a group of young adults who have actually experienced independence first-hand and serve as mentors guiding juniors preparing for independence. After completing the educational course of the 'Baramgaebi Supporters Preparatory School,' about 280 members have been commissioned by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and are active across 17 cities and provinces nationwide.
KB Securities is conducting nationwide financial education targeting the Baramgaebi Supporters to expand the financial independence capabilities of youth preparing for independence. The recent financial education in the Gangwon region was conducted as an online lecture by Kim Chanheung, an economic and financial education specialist from the KB Financial Public Welfare Foundation.
The lecture provided a comprehensive explanation of support systems for independent youth and systems helpful for asset formation, detailed information on housing-related support and loan systems, insurance, and credit management, as well as youth support policies for successful independence. After the lecture, there was a Q&A session addressing youth’s questions about investment, career choices, and economic and financial matters.
KB Securities, under the Consumer Protection Department, is conducting on-site lectures by connecting with dedicated independence support agencies in each city and province to provide financial education in areas with demand. Through this online lecture, the physical distance constraints of the widely distributed Baramgaebi Supporters by region were resolved, enabling nationwide online lectures.
Kim Seonghyun, CEO of KB Securities, stated, "There are many support policies for enhancing the independence capabilities of youth preparing for independence and for proactive financial life, and education on these will be a great help to youth preparing for independence and those in the early stages of independence." He added, "KB Securities plans to continuously provide various forms of financial education to support the self-reliance of independent youth."
