Sacheon City in Gyeongnam announced on the 23rd that it had conducted department-wide training sessions for all its departments, targeting public officials to prevent violations of the code of conduct and to foster an anti-corruption and integrity-oriented public service culture.

This initiative was implemented to strengthen employees' commitment to integrity and establish discipline within the public office by conducting department-wide training sessions in the second half of the year, following similar sessions in the first half last March.
The recent training, presided over by the city's Public Relations and Audit Officer, toured more than 50 departments, including the main office, affiliated agencies, business offices, and eup, myeon, and dong administrative units. The training focused on real-life cases such as violations of the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act (including receiving money or valuables), drunk driving, private misuse of public funds, and breaches of work regulations, raising awareness among public officials about the importance of maintaining discipline in public service.
Mayor Park Dongsik stated, "Through this training, I ask everyone to ensure that individual misconduct does not lead to criticism of the entire organization. I hope all public officials of Sacheon City will do their utmost to enhance their sense of integrity and become trusted civil servants in the eyes of our citizens."
