CCTV Shows Crime Committed at Dawn Wearing Hat and Mask
Lawyer Says "Possibility of Property Damage and Business Interference Charges"
Early in the morning, CCTV footage was released showing a man, who had no prior acquaintance with the business owner, shooting an unidentified liquid from a water gun at the handle of a cafe's entrance door. The cafe owner plans to report this man to the police.
On the 21st, JTBC's 'Sageon Banjang' reported on the incident that occurred at a cafe in Paju, Gyeonggi Province. The victim, owner A, discovered a yellow stain on the door handle when he arrived at the cafe on the morning of the 18th. A said, "At first, I thought someone spilled coffee, but there was a strange smell," adding, "The stain smelled like fermented anchovy sauce or urine." Feeling suspicious, A checked the CCTV and saw a man wearing a hat and mask repeatedly shooting a water gun at the door handle around 1 a.m. that day.

A said, "It seemed like he was targeting the door handle," and added, "The cafe has only been open for a year. I had no particular reason to have enemies, so experiencing this was very absurd." He also stated that he plans to report the man to the police.
Regarding this incident, lawyer Park Ji-hoon explained, "There is a possibility of charges for property damage or obstruction of business," and added, "If a similar incident occurs again, charges for trespassing could also be applied."

Meanwhile, recently, a man openly urinated in front of someone else's store window in broad daylight. On the 7th of last month, self-employed person B reported the 'urine terror' he experienced to JTBC's 'Sageon Banjang.' B opened an unmanned store and a restaurant simultaneously in July last year, and two months later, a man urinated in front of the unmanned store. A friend of B, who happened to witness this, recorded the act and reported it, resulting in the man having to pay a fine. Holding a grudge, the man began repeatedly visiting B's store recently, threatening employees and causing disturbances. Eventually, despite customers being inside the store, he committed 'urine terror' by urinating against the window without any concern.
Lawyer Park commented, "It is ambiguous whether the Minor Offenses Act or public indecency charges would apply," and expressed the opinion, "Even if indecency charges do not apply, there is a possibility of obstruction of business charges."
