President Yoon Suk-yeol returned to Korea through Seoul Airport in the early morning of the 22nd after completing his official 4-day, 2-night visit to the Czech Republic.


On that day, Han Dong-hoon, leader of the People Power Party, Choo Kyung-ho, floor leader of the People Power Party, Lee Sang-min, Minister of the Interior and Safety, Kim Hong-kyun, 1st Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jung Jin-seok, Chief of Staff, and Hong Cheol-ho, Senior Secretary for Political Affairs, came to the airport to welcome President Yoon.


President Yoon stayed in the Czech Republic from the 19th and met with President Petr Pavel, Prime Minister Petr Fiala, Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies Marketa Pekarova Adamova, and President of the Senate Milos Vystrcil to explore comprehensive cooperation measures in economic and security fields, including the nuclear power industry.


This is the first official visit by a Korean head of state to the Czech Republic in 9 years. During the visit, President Yoon adopted the "Joint Statement on Strengthening the Korea-Czech Strategic Partnership."


The joint statement includes provisions to strengthen cooperation in areas such as nuclear energy, trade and investment, science, technology and innovation, information and communication technology, and cybersecurity, in celebration of the 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations and the 10th anniversary of establishing the strategic partnership next year.
