The Democratic Party responds to 'Kim Yeo-sa suspicions' attack: "First reflect on pro-Myung nominations"

The People Power Party fired back at the Democratic Party of Korea, which has been launching attacks over the suspicion of 'Kim Geon-hee's involvement in candidate nominations,' urging them to first reflect on their own past of consistently nominating pro-Lee Jae-myung (Chinmyeong) candidates.

On the 21st, senior spokesperson Han Ji-a criticized, in a statement, "The Democratic Party is fervently engaging in political attacks, alleging 'First Lady's involvement in candidate nominations' related to the People Power Party's general election nominations."

Senior spokesperson Han explained, "Under the emergency committee led by Han Dong-hoon, the People Power Party cut off former lawmaker Kim Young-sun according to principles," adding, "There was no room for controversy surrounding the general election nominations."

He continued, "At the time, Emergency Committee Chairman Han Dong-hoon repeatedly emphasized that 'systematic nominations must adhere to principles and standards,'" and added, "Before meddling in another party's nominations, the Democratic Party should first reflect on their own past of consistently nominating pro-Lee Jae-myung candidates."

Earlier, the Democratic Party had pointed out that during the April 10 general election, former People Power Party lawmaker Kim Young-sun pressured the nomination committee, threatening to expose the 'suspicion of Kim Geon-hee's involvement in nominations,' and criticized, "Representative Han Dong-hoon is no different from an accomplice."
