Prime Minister Han ordered, "Each local government should mobilize all administrative power to block residents' access and conduct thorough monitoring in areas prone to landslides such as mountainous regions and steep slopes, as well as in areas where collapse is feared, such as aging retaining walls."
He continued, "In cases where damage is expected, cooperate with the police and fire departments to proactively evacuate residents, and in areas where flood damage is feared due to the collapse of embankments or reservoirs, assign responsible officials on duty until the heavy rain ends to ensure thorough preparedness."
Prime Minister Han added, "For areas affected by heavy rain damage, promptly carry out emergency restoration by deploying all available equipment and personnel to minimize residents' inconvenience, and pay attention to the safety of facility restoration workers."
Additionally, Prime Minister Han repeatedly urged through social networking service (SNS) Facebook, "Disaster preparedness should be done to an excessive degree," and "Although it may be somewhat inconvenient, I hope the public will cooperate well."
He stated, "Please refrain from going out during periods of concentrated rainfall, and follow evacuation orders promptly when issued," and "I extend words of encouragement to all public officials nationwide, including local government officials, police, and firefighters, who are fulfilling their duties behind the scenes."
