In an Israeli airstrike on the outskirts of Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, a top commander of the Lebanese armed group Hezbollah was killed.
According to major foreign media on the 21st (local time), Hezbollah announced that Ahmed Wabi, who supervised the military operations of the special forces unit Radwan during the Gaza Strip war earlier this year, was killed in an Israeli attack on the outskirts of Beirut the previous day.

Earlier, Hezbollah confirmed that Ibrahim Akil, the commander of Radwan, was killed in an Israeli airstrike.
Israel also stated on the 20th that it carried out an airstrike on the southern outskirts of Beirut and eliminated Akil.
Following an incident where the wireless pagers and radios used by Hezbollah simultaneously exploded, retaliatory attacks between Hezbollah and Israel have intensified.
