Director Kim Mi-jung of the Center said, “I appreciate the hard work of the staff who have strived to improve the quality of meals for children in Namyangju City,” and added, “We will continue to make efforts to provide safe food not only for children, the future generation, but also for the disabled and the elderly.”

Mayor Joo Kwang-deok said, “I thank the Child Meal Management Center Director and related personnel who have operated the center with a sense of mission over the past five years to improve the hygiene, safety, and nutrition levels of our children's meals.”

Mayor Joo added, “Since our center will manage meals at social welfare facilities starting next year, I hope it will ‘jump-up’ over the next five years to help children carry on the spirit of Dasan Jeong Yak-yong,” and said, “Namyangju City will do its best to provide appropriate support accordingly.”

Since September 2019, the center, entrusted and operated by the Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation of Seoul Women's University, registers and manages all small-scale child meal facilities in the jurisdiction. It also regularly visits meal facilities to provide hygiene inspections and support services, and conducts various hygiene and nutrition education programs for children and cooks.
