Utilizing Executing Agencies like KOTRA and JungjinGONG GBC
Efforts to Expand Sales of Local Products such as Jinan Red Ginseng
Participating in Korean Product Promotions in Chongqing in September and Wuhan in October
The Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province China Office (hereinafter referred to as the China Office) has launched a campaign to target major Chinese cities with Jeonbuk 100 Selected Products and Jinan Red Ginseng, among other Jeonbuk goods.
According to the Jeonbuk China Office on the 20th, Hanji socks, neckties, scarves selected from the Jeonbuk 100 Selected Products, and Jinan Red Ginseng will be exhibited and sold in Shanghai, Qingdao, and Chongqing, respectively.
The China Office plans to expand the exhibition of Jeonbuk products by collaborating with government agencies such as KOTRA and the Small and Medium Business Corporation (SBC) GBC to ensure the continuation of existing projects' success. Together with these agencies, direct sales will be conducted in major Chinese cities.

The China Office intends to actively utilize the executing agencies of KOTRA and SBC GBC to ensure transparent and vigorous sales of Jeonbuk products and to expand the Chinese market.
Along with the Jeonbuk products already introduced, the products selected from the Jeonbuk 100 Selected Products will be exhibited on a regular basis for the first time at Shanghai, Qingdao, and Chongqing SBC GBC.
Among the products selected from the Jeonbuk 100 Selected Products and the Transportation Art Center, those attracting interest from Chinese consumers include socks, neckties, and scarves made from Hanji paper.
So far, the China Office has focused on targeting the western market with Jinan Red Ginseng, Gabitree, Bio Food Story, Suryeo Medi, Daesung Medical, Bioten, and Haeodam, concentrating on the Huadong region including Shanghai and Qingdao, as well as the inland market centered on Wuhan.
In particular, Jinan Red Ginseng and Hanji products will be sold through Viva, an executing company of the Shanghai SBC GBC.
In August, the China Office arranged for Viva’s CEO Lee Ji-won to visit the Jinan Red Ginseng Center, Jeonbuk 100 Selected Products Hall, Gyodong Art Center, and Sunchang Gabitree to inspect Jeonbuk products. Following this, Viva recently decided to proceed with direct sales with the cooperation of the Shanghai SBC GBC.
With the support of the Shanghai SBC GBC, Viva will start online sales in the Huadong region using famous Wanghong (influencers) from the end of this month. Going forward, food products such as Jinan Red Ginseng will also be actively promoted in Korean supermarkets in Shanghai and local supermarkets.
Alongside the sales of Jeonbuk products, the China Office participated in the Chongqing International Consumer Goods Expo hosted by Chongqing SBC on the same day and plans to participate in the Wuhan Korean Product Promotion Exhibition hosted by KOTRA on October 18 for exhibition and sales.
The Wuhan Korean Product Promotion Exhibition will also explore entry into warehouse-style marts through 'Wushang,' the largest offline distribution channel in Hubei Province, in December.
Lee Ji-won, CEO of Viva, said, "At the suggestion of the Shanghai Office in early August, I visited the Jinan Red Ginseng Center, Sunchang Gabitree, Jeonbuk 100 Selected Products Hall, and Gyodong Art Center to see Jeonbuk products firsthand. Regarding Jinan Red Ginseng, I am confident that sales will increase in the long term as Shanghai citizens have shown great interest in health since COVID-19."
Song Seung-hoon, head of the China Office, said, "We are striving to turn the projects that the China Office has been steadily conducting into tangible results. We are currently discussing future projects with government agencies such as KOTRA and SBC GBC, and sales of Jeonbuk products are expected to steadily increase every year."
