As the unprecedented heatwave subsides, the leisure industry is accelerating preparations for the winter season. With major ski resorts opening their season pass sales, early booking 'early ski enthusiasts' are flocking, leading to some products selling out and signaling a promising season.

According to industry sources on the 21st, Phoenix Snow Park, which began its first round of sales for the 2024-2025 ski season pass products on the 12th, saw cumulative sales increase by about 35% compared to the same period last year over seven days.

Phoenix Snow Park launched four types of season passes this year: 'Prime Single,' 'Prime Family,' 'Prime Plus,' and 'Prime Plus Family.' The Prime Single is the basic pass that allows use of the Snow Park season pass and the Blue Canyon water park during the season. The Prime Family includes all benefits of the Prime Single plus a season pass for one child under 19 years old (born after 2006), free equipment rental, Blue Canyon seasonal access, and free buffet use at the Ondo restaurant for children under 13 when accompanied by an adult.

The Prime Plus pass adds a season locker, exclusive parking, and season drink tickets to all the benefits of the Prime Family. The top-tier Prime Plus Family pass offers the closest parking at the Phoenix Hotel parking lot, a season locker, five vouchers for a 4-person stay at the Sky Royal room, ten vouchers for the Ondo restaurant breakfast buffet, and a season pass for the newly renovated Blue Building premium sauna in 2023. Notably, Prime Plus pass holders can access freshly groomed slopes one hour earlier every morning and enjoy a quick pass for the gondola ride to Mont Blanc at 1,050 meters above sea level without waiting.

The prices are set at 450,000 KRW for Prime Single, 500,000 KRW for Prime Family, 1,800,000 KRW for Prime Plus, and 3,000,000 KRW for Prime Plus Family. The two higher-priced passes have already sold out their initial stock. A representative from Phoenix Hotel & Resort said, "The trend of first-round season pass sales usually indicates the success of the ski season that year," adding, "The start is smoother compared to previous years."

Phoenix Snow Park will begin additional sales of the sold-out Prime Plus and Prime Plus Family passes from the 26th and will start the second round of sales for all passes from the 8th of next month.

Gwangju City’s Gonjiam Resort in Gyeonggi Province is also selling 4,000 limited 2024-2025 White Season ski season passes exclusively through Yanolja until the 13th of next month. Gonjiam Resort’s ski season pass products include the 'All-Day Season Pass,' which allows unlimited use from opening to closing, the 'Weekday Season Pass' valid Monday through Friday, and the 'Weekend Season Pass' for full use on weekends and public holidays. Prices are set at 900,000 KRW for the All-Day pass and 580,000 KRW each for the Weekday and Weekend passes for adults.

Customers who purchase the season pass based on the previous day’s season pass will receive weekday room stay priority at Gonjiam Resort, as well as discount coupons for lifts, rentals, and cafeterias via a mobile application (app). Additionally, a time-based pass product has been launched, allowing convenient and flexible use at reasonable prices. The time passes, usable regardless of weekdays or weekends, are priced at 480,000 KRW for 40 hours and 300,000 KRW for 20 hours.

Muju Deogyusan Resort will also sell its first round of special-priced ski season passes until the 4th of next month. Customers can choose between Integrated Pass I, which allows use of the ski gondola on weekdays and weekends, and Integrated Pass II, which is valid only on weekdays. Integrated Pass II is available only during the special price sale period, after which only Integrated Pass I can be purchased.

In addition, the 'X5+ Season Pass,' which allows access to slopes at five ski resorts?Monayongpyeong, High1, Welli Hilli Park, Elysian Gangchon, and O2?with a single pass, is being sold by Shinhan Card All That until the 27th.
