Director Jeong Seung-woo Donates 100 Million Won to Korea University Sejong Campus Construction Fund

Korea University announced on the 21st that Chairman Jeong Seung-woo of the Yujung Cultural Foundation donated 100 million KRW as a construction fund for the Sejong Campus.

Chairman Jeong said, "I established the foundation with the intention of realizing the 'trinity of knowledge, virtue, and physical strength' in nurturing talented individuals, honoring the wishes of my great-great-grandfather and mother." He added, "As an alumnus, I am pleased to be able to continuously support the university, and I hope that the newly established Korea University Sejong Campus will cultivate future leaders." Korea University President Kim Dong-won responded, "I hope this donation will serve as a catalyst for the successful construction of the Korea University Sejong Campus at the Sejong City joint campus."

Meanwhile, the Sejong City joint campus, located in Sejong Special Self-Governing City, is a new type of campus where multiple universities and research institutions share classrooms and support facilities, enabling convergence education and research. Korea University Sejong Campus will establish a joint campus with a total capacity of 790 people, including advanced departments such as the Department of Artificial Intelligence Cybersecurity, the Department of Smart City Studies, the Department of Big Data Science, as well as a Graduate School of Public Administration.
