Studio Mir, 'The Witcher: Sea of Sirens'... "Introduction Video Released on Netflix"

KOSDAQ-listed company Studio Mir announced on the 20th that the introduction video for the animation "The Witcher: Sea of Sirens," in which it participated in production, has been released.

The introduction video for Studio Mir's new work "The Witcher: Sea of Sirens" was unveiled at "Netflix Geeked Week 2024." After Doug Cockle, the English voice actor for the protagonist "Geralt of Rivia" from the original Witcher game series, announced the official Netflix launch scheduled for February 11, 2025, the video consists of clips from the work.

"The Witcher: Sea of Sirens" is a Witcher animation spin-off released by Netflix in 2021. Along with Doug Cockle, the globally popular voice actor for the Witcher game series protagonist, Joey Batey, who played the role of Jaskier in the Netflix live-action series "The Witcher: Blood Origin," also participated as a voice actor in this work.

Studio Mir participated again as a Korean animation production company following "The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf," released by Netflix in 2021. The production team includes writer, executive producer, and showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich; executive producers Mike Ostrowski; and Tomek Bagi?ski and Jarek Sawko from Platige, a company specializing in 3D animation and digital special effects production.

The Witcher series, first released as a game in 2007, achieved great success, with the third installment "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" surpassing 50 million copies sold worldwide as of last year. Since then, it has been continuously adapted into live-action dramas and animations, recognized as globally popular content.

A Studio Mir representative said, "Since the previous work 'The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf' was so successful that it ranked 2nd in the global overall viewing rankings on FlixPatrol, which aggregates Netflix content rankings worldwide, we have prepared this new work with our best efforts. It features a more solid story and improved action scenes compared to the previous work," adding, "We plan to continue participating steadily in global animation production to present even more entertaining works."
