The Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association (Chairman Song Pil-ho) announced on the 20th that it will launch an interactive campaign called "I am a Firefighter" to improve the treatment and perception of firefighters.
The campaign can be participated in by signing a statement on the Hope Bridge website calling for social awareness improvement. The statement urges ▲the establishment of systematic institutional improvement plans for the physical and psychological safety of firefighters ▲investment of resources such as rest facilities to ensure safety ▲improvements in support for the families of firefighters who died in the line of duty. Through a lottery, 40 people each month will receive a pouch upcycled from firefighting gear and a firefighter figure keyring.
Shin Hoon, Secretary General of Hope Bridge, said, "We sincerely thank the firefighters who dedicate themselves to protecting the lives of the people on the front lines," and added, "We ask for much interest and participation so that they can work in a safer environment."
Since 2016, Hope Bridge has been collaborating with the Fire Agency and regional fire headquarters to carry out various projects such as ▲support for mental and physical stabilization rooms ▲support for quarantine and cold-weather supplies ▲support for dedicated washing and drying machines for firefighting gear ▲support for families affected by fire damage. Famous celebrities such as actors Kim Tae-hee and Park Bo-young, as well as major sponsors like KB Insurance and LH Korea Land & Housing Corporation, are key supporters.
