American Golf Monthly reported on the 18th (local time) that "Scheffler recently appeared on a podcast radio show. He said, 'I saw in a newspaper article how much I earned. The article is probably correct.'” He admitted that he did not know exactly how much prize money he had earned and also said he did not know how much he gave to his caddie, Ted Scott.

According to the typical contract terms between players and caddies, Scott is estimated to have received a bonus of $5,238,499 (about 7 billion KRW). PGA Tour players and caddies usually contract under the ‘10-7-5’ system. If the player wins, the caddie receives 10% of the prize money as a bonus; for a top 10 finish, 7%; and for making the cut, 5%.

Scheffler said, "I hit the ball well, but I’m bad at calculating money. When it comes to money, I’m like a child." He added, "I have one female staff member who sends me a text after the tournament saying, ‘I sent this much to Ted.’ Then I reply, ‘Good. Well done.’” He also said, "I don’t think about money. I focus only on golf. Money is just a gift that follows."

This year, Scheffler swept up an impressive seven wins, including winning the final third round of the PGA Tour FedEx Cup Playoffs (PO) Tour Championship. The prize money Scheffler earned this year alone amounts to $54,228,357 (about 72.1 billion KRW). Adding the $8 million Comcast Business Tour bonus he received as the No. 1 in the PGA Tour regular season FedEx Cup rankings, his official prize money increases to $62,228,357 (about 82.7 billion KRW).
