iToXy (CEO Jeon Bong-gyu) announced on the 19th that the MMORPG game 'Dragon Raja Origin' topped the popularity charts in both the domestic and Taiwanese app stores during the Chuseok holiday period, thanks to the opening of a new server.
According to the company, the opening of the new server, which allows competition between Taiwan and Korea, has accelerated the game's success both domestically and internationally. They attributed the surge in user interest primarily to the intensified competition between countries centered around game influencers through iToXy's own platform, 'Inplinker.'
Dragon Raja Origin previously made a remarkable comeback in last year's sales rankings after iToXy introduced influencer marketing alongside republishing. At that time, it recorded a maximum monthly revenue of 4.3 billion KRW, becoming known as a successful case of republishing. The newly opened server is not limited to Korea but is designed to create a competitive structure between Korea and Taiwan due to exports to Taiwan, with marketing efforts underway, which is expected to further boost iToXy's growth.
The company noted that since iPhones hold more than 56% of the smartphone market share in Taiwan, ranking first on the Taiwanese app store popularity chart is highly significant for revenue expansion. Additionally, the Taiwanese gaming market is similar to the domestic market, with many users enthusiastic about user and guild battle content, leading to the continuous strength of MMORPGs. Based on the global success of Dragon Raja Origin, iToXy plans to accelerate its expansion into overseas markets.
An iToXy representative stated, "Dragon Raja Origin is a representative success story of iToXy's comeback, and we have been fully focused company-wide on maximizing success through global new servers and influencer marketing." They added, "We are doing our best to contribute to corporate growth by sustaining success in domestic and overseas markets with differentiated strategies such as 'Inplinker' alongside new game releases."
