The commemorative stamp depicts the process of 'Mosi weaving,' where a woman sits at a loom making Mosi fabric, and 'Mosi nalgi,' where Mosi thread skeins are unwound to create warp thread bundles.

Hansan Mosi weaving is a traditional Mosi weaving technique from Hansan-myeon, Seocheon-gun, Chungnam. Mosi is a traditional fabric made from threads obtained from the natural plant Mosi, and its legacy has continued for over 1,500 years since the Three Kingdoms period.

Hansan Mosi weaving, which requires considerable time and effort, has been passed down mainly by women over many years. It was designated as a National Intangible Cultural Property in 1967 and registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2011.

The commemorative stamps can be purchased from the General Post Office or through the Internet Post Office starting from the 27th of this month. The total issuance volume is 340,000 sheets.
