Pharmacy Department Essay Admission Ratio Highest at 459 to 1

Sookmyung Women's University announced on the 19th that the early admission application results for the 2025 academic year recorded an average competition rate of 16.13 to 1. In particular, the newly established College of Pharmacy essay excellence track this year recorded a competition rate of 459 to 1.

Sookmyung Women's University accepted early admission applications for all tracks over four days from the 10th to the 13th. The competition rates by track were ▲Sookmyung Talent (Interview type) track 13.94 to 1 ▲Software Talent track 7.23 to 1 ▲Equal Opportunity track 8.20 to 1 ▲Regional Balanced Selection track 6.69 to 1 ▲Essay Excellence track 46.49 to 1 ▲Creative Arts Talent track 12.79 to 1.

The Sookmyung Talent track, one of the university’s representative comprehensive student record-based admission tracks, had 5,452 applicants for 391 spots, showing a competition rate of 13.94 to 1. Among these, the College of Pharmacy recorded 34.65 to 1, the Department of Life Systems 33.23 to 1, the Department of Food and Nutrition 24.63 to 1, and the Department of Media 19.50 to 1, in order of highest competition rates.

The Essay Excellence track had 9,949 applicants for 214 spots, resulting in a competition rate of 46.49 to 1. Among these, the College of Pharmacy, newly established for this track with 4 spots, had the most intense competition at 459.25 to 1.

Sookmyung Women's University will announce the final successful candidates for early admission on December 13 at 5 p.m. The announcement for the Creative Arts Talent track will be on November 7 at 5 p.m.
